Established soon after World War II as a branch of the Australian Medical Association, TDDLMA lays claim to being the oldest Local Medical Association in Queensland.

About fifteen years ago TDDLMA became an independent body following its incorporation. However, ties with the Queensland Branch of the AMA remain via observers at their Board meetings and indemnification of statements issued by the Association’s President as a member of the AMA.

Apart from representing the collective interests and concerns of its members, TDDLMA is active in promoting:

1. Postgraduate Education in collaboration with GP Connections
2. Public Health Education in collaboration with NGO’s and Voluntary Organisations
3. Health Planning in an advisory capacity with Queensland Health
4. Social Events and the Arts including Welcome Functions for New Doctors, LMA Golf Day,     Music – Jazz and Choral Group, Visual Arts Interest Group, Annual Dinner and Dance.
5. Doctors’ well being via participation in a Doctors Peer Support Program.

Do join and become involved.
